Fashion...

I was really lucky and had a mom that taught me a lot about how to dress well, what complimented me and what didn't, and how what you wear is directly connected to how people react to you.
Although I have been considered by some to be stylish, I've never felt as if I had an organized look. So I've chosen two of my favorite Style Icons and am going to try and follow "suit".

First of... I've always loved Audrey Hepburn because she was tiny like I am. Actually I think I'm bigger then she as but still...
She was so very classy and classic. And never came across as frail in the way she dressed.
I loved that she wasn't afraid to hide the fact that she was tiny.
Now I'm pretty new to Jackie Kennedy Onassis. I found a dress at the store last night that I loved and turned to my friend and asked her what era she thought it was from... her answer was "Very Jackie Kennedy"
I knew she was considered a style icon but had never look her up online. Well I did tonight and I love her!
Her style was so simple yet so incredibly elegant and she never changed her style through the years. She kept it simple, not flashy. And there for timeless!!!
Now don't get me wrong I'll still add my own little flash to it but I love how these women dressed so simple strong yet extremely feminine.

LOTS OF CONGRATULATIONS TO PASS OUT!

Big Congrats to the Pendley Family in Georgia and the White Family in Washington. The Pendley family added a baby boy and the White family added a girl to the mix!
Congrats go out to Tyson who started his last year of Law School and to Calley for encouraging him through.
Congrats to my husband who is officially in his 3rd year also and will be working on peoples mouths here shortly!
Congrats also to my big sister who has all three of her girls in school now and is out in the work force. Yet another thing I am envious of, that and her sleep. I keep in mind that my time will come too. Where my kids can feed themselves, dress themselves and are gone ALL DAY!
More Congratulations to come as many of my friends are due to have babies here shortly!

Isaac's first day of Kindergarten.

His first day! Crazy huh! He wore his new Wolverine shirt with his favorite pair of shorts.
I laminated his bus tag and put it on his school lanyard. (he rides the orange bus)
I went into his room at 6:30 to wake him up. I didn't even have to say anything, he say the light and shot straight up. I wouldn't be surprised if he never even slept.
We didn't have the TV on so he followed me around telling all about his dream (so I guess he did sleep) and how excited he was to go to school.

His SWEET new super heroes backpack. It has Ironman, Wolverine, the Hulk AND Spiderman. "All the coolest Ones!"

And here we are at the bus stop. Turns out there is another little boy that is starting kindergarten and he's in the same class as Isaac. Which is cool b/c they have 7 teachers so having him in the same class is pretty cool.

Fashionista!

So this is how Sydney dressed to go to the gym with daddy this morning.
We'll start from the top...
Hair that she refused to let me brush but I did get a bobbypin in it to pull it out of her face.
Old navy sung glasses!
Blue lips from a sucker that she ate at 9:30 in the morning.
Princess shirt with a hole in the side. The new skirt I made her last night. (props to me and thanx to Dano)
What you can't see is that Josh made her wear a pair of leggings under the skirt.
And last princess ankle socks (giving by grandma love) and her pink sparkle shoes.
Gotta love it!

Water fun at CB Smith Park!

We took Isaac and his friend Joey to the water park on Monday. Sydney Josh and I made the rest of the group. It was so much fun. A little too pricey for us to go again but it was kind of a last whoowa before Isaac starts school on Monday. It was like a huge playground with water all over it. The above pic is the kiddy playground where Sydney and I stayed for a while. The next pic is of the bigger one where Joey and Isaac spent their day. Thats the boys in the corner of the pic racing to get up the stairs!

Sydney wanted either Josh or I to go down the slides with her but in the bigger park you have to be able to go down on your own. So she finally decided to do it and after the first slide she was ready to go!!! She had so much fun.

Joey is such a sweet heart. Way easy going and always kept a watchful eye on Sydney. Its so funny to see boys play together, its all about being loud and body functions!

Double click on this pic and you can check out my arms! I know you're dieing to!! =)
This was at the kiddy playground. But don't ket that slide fool you. We came off of it so fast once that I bounced of the bottom of the pool and scraped my bum up! That burned for a good while!

These are the steps up to the 2 big slides. I was waiting at the bottomw for 20 minutes because Josh said the boys were in line. I was going to go back up with them once they came down. Finally I went up looking for them and they just got to the front of the line.
Once they came down Isaac wanted to go right back up. Joey decided the climb and wait weren't worth it.
We were there for a little over 3 hours. Thank you to Corey who babysat Lincoln so we could have some time with the big kids! When the day was over I'd say everyone had a great time, even Josh who didn't really want to go. I didn't wear any sunblock (don't ask me why) so I wasn't able to wear a bra for about 2 days. Still hurts!
But definitely some place we will hit up next year but with Lincoln!

WOW that was a lot!

So glad I'm done filling in the text to all the pics from North Carolina!!

Gotta Love Target!

I LOVE this dress! Makes me feel very... I don't even know what era it is. Very Classic. Its a lot of fun to wear and I feel fabulous in it. Josh looked at me and said, "it looks a little big." I told him not everything has to be skin tight. He smiled and said, "oh yes it does!"

Trip to North Carolina

OK! So we left I think around 6:30-7 pm. It took us 13 hours to get there. We had a hitch put on our van and pulled everything we needed in a trailer. So we laid the seat down and the 2 older ones slept the whole way. Lincoln I had in his car seat. Sorry but a baby has to be buckled. Well they all have to but oh well. Thats why josh kept a look out for cops!
We got in at around 7:30-8. Kept the kids busy and then put them down for a nap!!!
The above pic is of Josh, Sydney, and Isaac CRASHING HARD for a nap!
A little out of order because this was right before we left for chucky cheese. But I love this pic. Nannah and Grandpa Sparky and the kids! Good times.
ANd below is 3 generations, well skipping one and it would be 4. Nannah and the kids with Mitzi's mom (nanny)!
I loved the fact that she was there too. It was the first time I really got to talk with her. She is a neat lady and has such a loving heart. I loved that the kids got to be around her and distinguish her as a great grandmother. Isaac knows that Nanny lives in Burkley and that Nannah is inNorth Carolina. ( you each have a pin point on his map in his room!)
We love you Nanny! I'll be sending you a copy of this in the mail soon!

Surprise Grandpa!

So Isaac and Sydney decided they wanted to surprise Grandpa when he came home. It didn't go as well as they planned.

They have this wonderful deck in the front of the house that has a gate to close it off. It was so nice because Lincoln could be out there and we didn't have to worry about him getting loose or grass or bugs! It was also perfect for Sydney to ride her new Princess Bike (thank you Nannah for pitching in 1/2!!) For some reason I don't seem to have a picture of it.

This is Isaac's sweet "picker upper". Its a wand that extends with a magnet on the end so you can pick things up with it. He loved going around and finding out what things were metal and what things were "made to look like metal" "sneaky".

PUPPIESPUPPIESPUPPIES!
Sydney had the first one and Lincoln wouldn't leave it alone so we went and got Lincoln one. Well you can't have 2 kids with one and 1 kids with out. So Isaac got one. Isaac's and Sydney's have Sadies old collars on and Lincoln's puppy is bare. Thats how we tell them apart. I figured when Sydney and Isaac get bored of theirs then I can tuck them away for Lincoln. He's so funny b/c he hasn't taken to ANY other stuffed animals. My parents even tried to show him other ones but he only likes this one. And its hilarious to watch him gather them all up and sit with them and hug them all in turn or all at once. He's so funny.

A rare moment caught on tape. Normally she's bossing him around or screaming at him. One day he's giong to wake up and realise he's bigger then her.
Below is Isaac working with his "bug finding glass". Him and Nannah would go on nature walks or bug hunting. He loved that thing. He even asked to borrow my camera case to put it in.

Down Time

Grandpa Sparky and Lincoln hanging out and Matt on the end of the couch.
Poor Matt had all these plans to do stuff and then hurt his back. He was laid up most of our visit. But Sydney didn't care... he was still her favorite.

Nannah and Matt (on the mend) took the two older ones to a kid museum and Sydney ofcourse crashed out on the way home. Always a sign that they had a good time. Isaac can go and go but you really have to watch Sydney because she''ll start to slow and usually melt down before you realize she was actually down an hour ago.

Hanging out with Nannah after one of the pool days!
Below is Josh playing with the boys! All three of them laughing!

Some pool Time!

Who can make the biggest splash?
Funny story...
Isaac wanted Nannah to go off the board and Nannah was trying to get out of it
"Well people might laugh at me!?"
Isaac's answer, "Don't worry Nannah. They'll laugh at you but I won't!"

Even Nannah Tried. Yep Mitzi I did post it on the blog! But hey I was pretty impressed with the splash of it all!
Below is Eric and I just think this is a cool pic!

Isaac LOVED the "jumping board"!

There were a couple times where I didn't think Isaac would make it to the edge of the pool. He would get so tired but refuse to stop. We had to literally make him sit for awhile till he got his breath back and then he was right back on the board!

Sydney - 3 1/2 years old
