Bubbles, Bubbles and more Bubbles!

Every 4th Pine Island Park has a foam pit. The fire dept. comes out and shoots out this HUGE amount of foam for the kids to jump around in. Last year it was a big hit but this year we played in the foam for all of 15 minutes.

Sydney wasn't too excited! I think the kids were wiped out from the parade. They had the fire engine parked next to the foam pit so the kids could wash off.

I went prepared in a swim suit so I could play in the foam with them this year. But Sydney wouldn't even play with me.

I love this pic. The water from the engine run off pooled in to a big puddle. Thats what the kids played in more then the foam.

I heard some of the kids telling their parents that the foam was more soapy this year. Maybe thats why Isaac FREAKED out when it got in his eyes. We even brought goggles this year. Well they filled with foam. Needless to say that didn't go over well.

The Parade

HOT HOT HOT HOT! Man was it hot. We got there about 30 minutes before the parade did. Not too impressed. There were some big gaps and no bands. I mean there were like teenage rock bands in trailers. No joke. The kids loved it though. The had their bags to collect the candy that was thrown. Sadie came with us ,obviously, poor thing got so hot. We had to go buy water.

The even threw doggie biscuits. Sadie LOVED that!

Hollywood Beach

Chelsea and Lincoln... he loves this lady!

Lincoln ofcourse loves the water. He's so funny. He would crawl down the dune and full on try and crawl into the ocean. I coated his legs twice with sunblock and he still got a little red. I think he's the fairest of my three, thats why he wears a swim shirt too.
Sydney had a blast. Normally she doesn't like to get in because its too rough for her. She loved Sanibel but she's not too keen on our beach. Well, Hollywood was shallow for a ways out and then the sandbar hit and she could sit down. Pretty cool.

This family is one of our favorite. Kirk should be turning 2 here pretty soon. Sean (below) is in his second year of dental and Amy works with an Orchestra. She has been playing the flute for more then 15 years. Extremely talented, creative and such a great friend.
I was in the car with the kids one day and Sydney says, "Amy is the best mommy ever!" I mistakenly thought she said me so I said thank you. Her answer, "No mommy not you.... AAAMMMYYY!" In an offended and then dreamy voice.

Kirk is such a sweet heart.
So Amy asked Sydney once who her friends were "Haley... Chelsea... Kayla!" Sydney considers Chelsea one of her best friends. She is in the nursing program here and her husband is a D2. Dental second year. So we will have Chelsea till we move and hopefully for a lot longer!

How awesome is this camera!!! Isaac is insane about opening his eyes under water. Doesn't bother him at all, but all H--- breaks loose if he gets water in his eyes when he's in the bath tub.

So my friend has tried to get me to go to Hollywood beach before but the thing is....
Hollywood, FL is kind of the Ghetto. It turns out that the resort/tourist area of Hollywood is far from that. We loved it.

So the parking is in a garage. $5 all day

It puts we out under a covered walk and opens to this little fountain park. They then have a boardwalk and past that is the beach. They even have a permanent mat that goes out onto the beach so that you don't burn your feet.

Sydney loved this part and so did Lincoln. Lincoln was crazy about this place. To the left of the little park are terraces you can sit on and watch the kids our eat. We'd put Lincoln on the top one and he climb down all the way to get back to the fountain.

Its like "where's waldo?" but "where's Lincoln?" Make it easy on you.. he's the only one crawling. =) I'd have to walk around above him when it got crowded so he wouldn't get stepped on. I'm sure youre thinking just pick him up... well as I said before... he was determined to be in the mix. I marvel at the parents who have mild mannered children. Because WOW mine aren't!
They know what they want to do and you can't convince them otherwise and they figure it out really young.

Isaac below karate chopping the water. His suit fits perfect when dry. When wet... it sits a little low. His tan line is so cute to me. He's getting sooooo tan. And we cover him in sunblock too! He tans like my brothers, I always was jealous of them. Notice his Very cool ankle bands! 1 transformers and 2 I am a child of God (it glows in the dark to show him the way)
