FHE Decorating the tree

Yep we are FHErs!! We've been doing it for over a month now and the kids love it. Sydney was suppose to do the lesson tonight but she refused to go to nursery and wond up on my lap instead. She was suppose to teach us what she learned. Oh well. Maybe next month! So josh and I threw together a lesson on what Christmas is REALLY about.

Then we decorated our little 3 foot tree. Of course the tree fairy will probably come tonight and rearrange the ornaments. She usually does.
A big thank you to my parents for the beautiful decorations we have. I was so excited i busted out the decorations days before Thanksgiving!

We plan on getting a bigger tree when we have room to store it. then this little guy will be my "entry way "tree. Yes you read what I wrote!! And I'll have it decorated the way I want it and then they can have the family tree for all the handmade ornaments that are soon to come!

Lincoln falling asleep at the Table

How sad is this.... so sad, but we still ran and got the camera anyways.
We missed him trying to feed himself with his eyes closed. He kept missing his mouth.
Sundays are rough for us because our church is from 12:30-3:30. We try to get him to go down for a nap before church but it hasn't been working lately because he is dropping his morning naps. Sometimes josh would take Lincoln on a car ride or something just to see if he would sleep a little, but he's now a big boy in nursery and he doesn't want to miss that!
A little side note.. he's always rubbed his head like that to go to sleep.

Control White Board!

I try as best I can to follow the "FLY Lady". Shes a cleaning gooroo. You can google her. Anyways... she has whats called a control journal which seems to evade my every attempt. So i put it all on a white board and its a miracle!! For some reason pulling out a book was too big a step for me. But I can turn my head to look at the wall!

I was a little skeptical about it when Josh was reading me some posts. But seriously its spot on. And it doesn't make the Gospel any less true. And as Mormons we are pretty funny!

or forgot words to a lullaby.

my plants were poisonous.

I never thought about immunizations.

I had never been puked on.

Pooped on.

Chewed on.

Peed on.

I had complete control of my mind

and my thoughts.

I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,

I never held down a screaming child

so doctors could do tests.

Or give shots.

I never looked into teary eyes and cried.

I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.

I never sat up late hours at night

watching a baby sleep..

Before I was a Mom,

I never held a sleeping baby just because

I didn't want to put her down.

I never felt my heart break into a million pieces

when I couldn't stop the hurt.

I never knew that something so small

could affect my life so much.

I never knew that I could love someone so much.

I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom,

I didn't know the feeling of

having my heart outside my body..

I didn't know how special it could feel

to feed a hungry baby.

I didn't know that bond

between a mother and her child.

I didn't know that something so small

could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,

I had never gotten up in the middle of the night

every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.

I had never known the warmth,

the joy,

the love,

the heartache,

the wonderment

or the satisfaction of being a Mom.

I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,

before I was a Mom

Its still so hot here!

So what do you do when its November and still in the 90s? You take your kids to Toys R Us!!

Prepare them ahead of time that you are not buying anything and then let them go crazy... with in boundaries!

try as I did... I couldnt convince Sydney that Santa wasnt going to be able to fit a couch in his sleigh with all the other toys!

Isaac actually got the SWEET Dora house from a guy that was moving out of our neighborhood. "hey kid... know anyone that wants this?" Isaac "I'll take it home to my sister!!" Sweet!
So we didnt have to track down a princess castle and the dora dolls that go with her house are CHEAP! (at Kohls on black friday)!
And it was a no to the bottom pic too!
